Fire Safety
Fire restrictions in Wyoming have tightened and tightened for obvious reasons. As of Monday of this week more restrictions have been placed. As of today we have gotten a complete and defined list of things we can and can't do in accordance with the regulations.

1. No campfires... period. We have talked to the ranger station of Laramie county and have been told we can have propane fueled fires with shut offs. All fires must have a three foot radius area clear of vegetation. We have been given permission to clear vegetation by LCCC. Fire extinguishers must accompany all fire sources

2. Please, please please be careful when smoking cigarettes. We will provide some cigarette buckets to drop off your butts but please be careful when smoking and do not under any circumstances drop your butts on the ground or flick ash in grassy areas. This is something we can't stress enough.

3. We are taking the majority, if not all, of our clean up time to clear a parking lot of vegetation. WY Fire restrictions prohibit the use of vehicles off of established roads. This includes parking in fields and the like. We are trying to comply with restrictions and are clearing areas of vegetation to park in. We also have to stress that we cannot leave vehicles parked in camping areas any more than necessary to unpack. This means that you get to your site, unpack, drive your vehicle back to the parking area and then start setting up camp afterwards. This is event policy for Glory and needs to be followed as completely as possible.

A few additional reminders/notices

4. The Buford station has recently changed hands and at last communication being renovated. This means that for most of us the closest markets to Glory will be on our way through Cheyenne. Do not rely on Buford Station to pick up last minute essentials.

5. We will have a water buffalo on site, but because of the Buford Station renovations refills we be a few hour ordeal. We will try and keep up with water needs but ask that you please help us and everyone at Glory by bringing water with you. If everyone brings a 24 pack of bottled water for them and their families it will cut down on consumption. Plus you'll have nice clean bottled water to drink and who doesn't like that.

We would like to thank everyone who is coming to Glory for their attendance. This is my first time autocratting and Safiyya's first time autocratting anything of this size. We hope everyone has a great time.

Take your best route to I-80 in Wyoming. Take exit #335 (Buford) and turn to the North (right). Take the next right and a left on to North Buford Road. This is a dirt road which can be very rough with steep hills, deep washboards and ruts. Please drive slowly and carefully. There will be an SCA sign at the turnoff for North Buford Road and another sign at the turn off into the campground on the left.

Site Rules

  • There is no potable water on site – the Event Staff is working to provide water, but please plan accordingly.
